On the morning of September 29, 2025, local time in Sweden, Rosersberg 4MWh BESS pilot project officially breaks ground in Sweden. The project is invested by a joint venture between China Gas, Linyang Energy, and Suntrade. The CEO of Suntrade and management team, General Manager of Linyang Energy ORED Mr. Yuan Hairong, Deputy General Manager of the ORED European Region Mr. Cao Yang, and other Linyang ESS executives attended the ground breaking ceremony.

The Nordic region boasts one of the highest renewable energy penetration rates globally, a mature electricity market, and significant price volatility, creating a pressing need for energy storage systems. This is Linyang Energy's first grid-side BESS pilot project in Northern Europe, utilizing the company's standard 4MWh DC container, offering advantages such as high safety, reliability, intelligence, low noise, low power consumption, and ease of operation and maintenance. Once in operation, the project is expected to facilitate optimization the region's energy mix and promote the coordinated development of low-carbon transition and ecological protection.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Yuan Hairong stated that the commencement of the Rosersberg project marks a significant milestone for Linyang Energy's energy storage business in Northern Europe. Linyang Energy will leverage its long-standing project experience, core technological advantages, and global strategic resources to continuously provide highly secure, reliable, and profitable smart solar storage products and system solutions, contributing to Europe's energy transition and the achievement of its zero-carbon goals.
Suntrade CEO Daniel expressed optimism about the project's progress and future collaboration. He emphasized that Suntrade will fully coordinate resource integration and efficient collaboration with partners to ensure the project's smooth completion and commissioning as planned. Furthermore, the company will actively explore more solar-plus-storage project development opportunities in the European market, further deepen its strategic partnership with Linyang Energy and China Gas, and jointly explore new areas of cooperation in the energy sector.
Mr. Li Jun, the General Manger of China Gas Hongming Group, extended his congratulations remotely and expressed confidence in the efficient delivery of the project thanks to the joint efforts and support of partners. He further stated that China Gas will fully collaborate with value chain partners and, after successfully completing its domestic energy storage project "peak summer" mission, actively participate in the peak delivery season in Northern Europe. Following the Rosersberg pilot project, a large-scale energy storage project cluster in Northern Europe will be the focus of the next phase.

Rosersberg project is another important milestone for Linyang Energy in implementing its "going global" strategy and promoting high-quality global development. It not only deepens the strategic mutual trust and advantage aggregation among Linyang Energy, China Gas and Suntrade, but also lays a solid foundation for jointly developing the Swedish and other European markets, and injects firm confidence into future sustainable collaboration and win-win development.
