The award ceremony of the 2025 BRICS Industrial Innovation Contest – New Energy Industry Track was recently held in Zhaoqing New District, Guangdong. Jiangsu Linyang Renewable Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (“Linyang”) was honored with a prize for its “Smart Meter Manufacturing Green Factory with PV Curtain Wall Project.” The project was presented by Mr. Zhou Xiaolong from the Linyang Design Institute.

Distinguished by its innovative Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) concept and green, low-carbon design, the project stood out among many strong entries.
Located in Qidong, Nantong, Jiangsu Province, the project integrates building envelope structures with energy generation. It adopts large-area cadmium telluride (CdTe) thin-film PV glass as the main curtain wall material, complemented by a monocrystalline silicon vertical shading system. This multifunctional design combines shading, power generation, and energy efficiency—redefining the energy potential of building façades. The project is expected to generate 58,100 kWh of electricity in its first year and 1.642 million kWh over 30 years, reducing CO₂ emissions by approximately 1,337 tons across its lifecycle.

As a company deeply engaged in the energy sector, Linyang has actively expanded its presence in BRICS countries, focusing on technology transfer and market development in regions such as India and South Africa. Through strategic partnerships and localized cooperation, Linyang continues to strengthen its influence across the BRICS community.
The award-winning project validates the “BIPV + Green Factory” model, providing a scalable solution for industrial low-carbon transformation. As noted in the presentation, this innovative approach can be flexibly adapted to diverse architectural and climate conditions in BRICS countries, supporting reduced building energy consumption and increased adoption of clean energy.
This recognition highlights Linyang’s strong innovation capabilities and contributions to green, high-quality development. Looking ahead, Linyang will continue to advance R&D, deliver more sustainable projects, and accelerate its market presence across BRICS countries—contributing to global carbon neutrality goals and a sustainable future.
